One common obstacle is disorganization and clutter. Before you can sit down at your desk and write your new business plan, you first have to find the desk! If you are a pack rat, with piles upon piles of papers, your first obstacle is to get organized. There are wonderful books on organization and clutter control. Or, if you don't have the time or inclination to do it yourself, consider hiring a professional organizer to work with you. Other environmental obstacles can be handled the same way.
Financial obstacles, such as the lack or mismanagement of money, can create a barrier to success as well. If you are struggling with your money, start making a change in that area today. Balance your checkbook. Open a savings account and make regular deposits. Make an appointment with a financial planner. Knowing your personal net worth will help you determine how much you need to grow--and in what direction.
You should also look at the people in your environment. Are they creating obstacles as well? Don't allow yourself to become a victim of O.P.D.--that stands for Other People's Drama!
What obstacles stand in the way of your success? What is your plan for overcoming them?
