First, clearly state why you want to create this new habit. Of course, it is best to state this in writing. This is your "intention."
Next, you need to create an environment that will support your new habit. If your intention is to lose weight, get rid of the junk food in your cabinets and replace it with healthy snacks. If your intention is to network more often, place business cards in all of your handbags.
Finally, you need to expend effort toward the new habit - in the words of a popular shoe commercial, "Just Do It!"
