First, I help you clarify the goal that you want to accomplish. For example, one client may want to be able to do her "side gig" full time by the end of this year. Another may wish to be able to better balance her personal and professional life, so she can earn a promotion at work and still spend quality time with her loved ones. The majority of our initial coaching call will focus on the goal identification process.
We then spend time doing reality testing - is it really possible for you to accomplish this goal? Are you truly committed? What might get in the way? What other support do you need? What are some ways of moving forward?
Then we narrow down next steps, create a timeline, and you commit to what you will work on before our next call. On each call, we review your accomplishments, celebrate your successes, examine what you didn't get done and why (if anything), discuss current and future challenges, and plan your next steps. Along the way, we continue to confirm that the goal is the "right" goal for you.
